On January 14th in Saxtons River, Vermont I gave an illustrated talk about my work which included how to make a black ash basket, my influences and my story. It was a wonderful evening starting with a catered meal by local Harvest Moon Catering. Main Street Arts hosted the "Taste of the Arts; Tales from a Community" series and were thrilled with the sell out crowd!
On August 27th in Chicago Illinois I was featured on WGN-TV midday show, albeit briefly, demonstrating how I make a basket to advertise the American Craft Exposition Show in Evanston that weekend. Here's the link! WGN-TV midday fix

On August 20th, I won the Show Directors' Award at the 2008 American Craft Exposition in Evanston, Illinois. Winning this award entitles me to return to the show next year without needing to apply. It will be the 25th anniversary show and I look forward to being there.
